Lethbridge Police have charged a 37-year-old male with mischief after 19 vehicles were vandalized earlier this week in the downtown core.

On April 6 and 7, police responded to reports that a total of 19 vehicles – including a marked police car – had “Nazi” scratched into the paintwork. The mischief occurred on both days during the daytime hours and following further investigation police obtained video surveillance in some of the cases that showed a male causing the damage. The male was subsequently identified and arrested without incident Thursday.

All the vehicles were parked in various areas of the downtown core when the damage occurred and police believe there may be additional victims.

Anyone whose vehicle was damaged in a similar manner is asked to contact police at 403-328-4444.

Christopher Michael Crow, 37, of Lethbridge, is charged with 19 counts of mischief under $5,000. He was released from custody following a Judicial Interim Release hearing and is scheduled to appear in court May 12, 2022.
