The Village of Stirling would like to welcome attendance at their first Village-hosted Remembrance Day Ceremony.

The Ceremony will be held at the new Cenotaph site, located on the west lawn of the Village Administration Building (237 4 Avenue). The Ceremony will commence at 10:30 and will involve the dedication of the new Village of Stirling Cenotaph, honoring those from Stirling who answered the call to serve to defend our freedoms.

MLA Grant Hunter, Glenn Miller of Last Post Fund, Mayor Trevor Lewington and members of the Lethbridge Royal Canadian Military 20th Independent Field Battery will be in attendance.

“The Cenotaph has been a project I’ve wanted to see completed for some time,” Lewington said in a statement. “I’m grateful to Veterans Affairs Canada for the grant funding they provided to help make this project possible and for the Legion Poppy Fund, which granted us money towards the benches. Our Municipality now has a spot to come together and honor those who sacrificed so much.”
