Maple Creek RCMP: More charges on a historic sexual assault case

On April 26, Maple Creek RCMP received an additional report of a historic sexual assault. Investigation determined an adult male assaulted a male youth during a sport-related trip.

As a result, on April 27, 2023 Dexter Bacsu was re-arrested and charged with one count of sexual assault, Section 271, Criminal Code and one count of sexual interference, Section 151, Criminal Code.

He is next scheduled to appear in Maple Creek Provincial Court on May 11, 2023 (Information 90458684).

Investigators continue to believe there may be further victims.
