Swift Current Fire Department put out garage fire

At 11:14 a.m. on Sunday October 30, 2022, The City of Swift Current Fire Department responded to a structure fire call on the 800 block of 5th Avenue Northeast. Upon arrival, firefighters found a detached garage fully involved in the fire with flames already breaching the outside walls.

The fire was quickly contained to the garage and the adjacent fence.  The property owners’ home was not affected.

Two (2) engines, one (1) command vehicle, and a total of nine (9) personnel responded.

This incident is still under investigation, and no further comments are available at this time.
