Duck… duck… winner in Swift Current

The R.M. of Swift Current Fire Department assisted to drop the large pile of plastic ducks into the creek, which then drifted downstream to the finish line at Lee Lam bridge. 

Over 2,600 tickets were sold, and the winners of the four themed prize packages were Shawn McMillan, C21 Accord Reality, Jeff Keeler and Tim Hopfner. Funds raised through this event will help to enhance the various services provided by Southwest Crisis Services.

The non-profit organization operates a safe shelter for women and their children leaving an abusive situation, a 24/7 crisis help line, outreach support counselling for women, men and children dealing with interpersonal issues or who are at risk of abuse, as well as sexual assault support services.
