Swim team members from Swift Current announced for Team Sask. Special Olympics squad

Several Swift Current swimmers and officials will be members of Team Saskatchewan at the upcoming 2022 Canada Summer Games, which takes place from Aug. 6-21 in Niagara, Ontario. Team members were announced during the Special Olympics Swift Current swim meet, June 19. The four Special Olympics swimmers on the provincial team will be Rahimay Priebe and Tate Zimmerman from Swift Current, Dylan Dovel from Saskatoon, and Sam Fisher from Humboldt. They will be accompanied by swim coach Jackie Powell and athlete assistant Kyle Ferguson, both from Swift Current. Local swimmers had good results during their home swim meet at Fairview pool. Below are the full results for Special Olympics Swift Current swimmers at the June 19 event:

Katie Durant – 1st mixed 100m freestyle relay, 2nd 200m freestyle, 2nd 100m breaststroke, 2nd 25m breaststroke, 3rd 50m breaststroke, 3rd 100m freestyle.

Chayce Foster – 2nd mixed 100m freestyle relay, 2nd 25m backstroke, 3rd 50m freestyle, 3rd 100m backstroke, 4th 25m freestyle, 4th 50m backstroke.

Tamara Gleim – 2nd 25m freestyle, 2nd 25m backstroke, 2nd 50m freestyle, 3rd 100m backstroke, 3rd mixed 100m freestyle relay, 4th 50m backstroke.

David Philip – 1st 50m breaststroke, 1st 100m breaststroke, 2nd 100m freestyle, 2nd 50m freestyle, 3rd 25m freestyle, 3rd 50m backstroke, 3rd mixed 100m freestyle relay.

Rahimay Priebe – 1st 50m breaststroke, 1st 100m breaststroke, 1st 50m freestyle, 2nd 100m freestyle, 2nd 100m backstroke, 2nd mixed 100m freestyle relay, 3rd 50m backstroke.

Harold Robinson – 2nd 25m freestyle, 3rd 25m backstroke, 3rd 50m backstroke, 4th 50m freestyle, 4th 100m backstroke. 

Jenae Ruetz – 1st 50m butterfly, 1st 25m backstroke, 1st 100m intermediate, 1st 25m butterfly, 1st 200m freestyle.

Tyler Servant – 1st 25m freestyle, 1st 50m butterfly, 1st 200m intermediate, 1st 50m freestyle, 1st 200m freestyle, 1st 50m backstroke, 3rd mixed 100m freestyle relay.

Avery Underhill – 1st 25m freestyle, 1st 25m breaststroke, 1st 50m freestyle, 1st mixed 100m freestyle relay, 2nd 50m breaststroke, 2nd 50m backstroke.

Tate Zimmerman – 1st 100m freestyle, 1st 100m backstroke, 1st mixed 100m freestyle relay, 2nd 25m freestyle, 2nd 50m breaststroke, 2nd 50m backstroke, 3rd 50m freestyle.
