Crude oil dumped in Shaunavon sewage lagoon

On June 13, Shaunavon Conservation Officers became aware that crude oil was dumped into the town of Shaunavon’s domestic wastewater holding cell (sewage lagoon). Conservation Officers investigated and had found that a large amount of crude oil was discharged into the sewage lagoon. Officers believe that the discharge happened between June 4 -12, 2022.
