Residents in and around Milk River are invited to an in-person community engagement session on Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Milk River Civic Centre, 321 3 Ave. NE.
The session will offer an opportunity to speak with Alberta Health Services (AHS) representatives and learn more about steps being taken to address recent temporary closures of the Milk River Health Centre Emergency Department due to lack of physician availability.
AHS is working hard to ensure local residents continue to have access to the care they need in the community and looks forward to sharing our plans to support residents now and in the future.
Alberta Health Services is the provincial health authority responsible for planning and delivering health supports and services for more than four million adults and children living in Alberta. Our mission is to provide a patient-focused, quality health system that is accessible and sustainable for all Albertans. Our current focus is on reducing emergency department wait-times, improving EMS response times, increasing access to surgeries, and improving patient flow.
