Lethbridge Police charge four individuals, including Claresholm man, with possession of stolen property

Lethbridge Police charged four individuals with possession of stolen property and other offences in connection with a report of suspicious activity at a construction site.

Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Sixmile Crescent South about 9 a.m. on Oct. 16, 2022. Occupants of a truck were seen loading items into a cargo trailer behind a house under construction. The trailer had been stolen earlier that day.

The truck left the scene, minus the trailer, and was later stopped by police just east of Mayor Magrath Drive South on South Parkside Drive. One of the occupants was found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and bolt cutters, while property believed to have been stolen from worksites was also located in the truck.

A second vehicle was later located by police in the 1100 block of 40 Avenue North towing the cargo trailer, which contained about $3,500 in stolen construction tools.  A quantity of the stolen tools was returned to the owner. 

Adam Robert Muhly, 37, of Lethbridge, was charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000. He was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for Dec. 14, 2022

Jeremy Mackenzie Toth, 36, of Lethbridge, was charged with possession of break-in instruments, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance.  He was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for Jan. 19, 2023.

Clayton Roger Doyle, 30, of Claresholm, was charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000. He was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for Jan. 25, 2023.

Aedan Tanya Betts, 21, of Lethbridge, was charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000. She was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for Jan. 25, 2023.
