Lethbridge Police seize drugs, weapons, cash and stolen property

Lethbridge Police have charged three individuals and seized drugs, weapons, cash and stolen property following a drug trafficking investigation.

Following an investigation into activity consistent with drug trafficking, Patrol members – with the assistance of the Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) unit of the Alberta Sheriffs, the Priority Crimes Unit, Crime Suppression Team, Downtown Patrol Unit and the Tactical Unit – executed search warrants on Feb. 8, 2022 at a home in the 500 block of 19 Street South and a commercial business bay in the 1700 block of 31 Street North.

Three individuals were arrested without incident. Seized following the subsequent search were drugs with a street value of about $3,000, including 34 grams of methamphetamine and 2.2 grams of Psilocybin (mushrooms). Also seized were three firearms and ammunition, $1,900 in cash as proceeds of crime, and stolen property including a motorcycle and another vehicle with a total value of about $2,400.

Christina Lynn Guest, 35, of Lethbridge, is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking; possession of stolen property; possession of stolen property obtained by crime; careless use/storage of a firearm; and two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm.  She was released after a Judicial Interim Release hearing with a scheduled court appearance of March 10, 2022.

Brandon Douglas Rourke, 34, of Lethbridge, is charged with: two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking; possession of stolen property; possession of stolen property obtained by crime; careless use/storage of a firearm; and two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm. He was released after a Judicial Interim Release hearing with a scheduled court appearance of Feb. 25, 2022.

Travis Robert Taylor, 30, of Lethbridge, is charged with: possession for the purpose of trafficking; possession of stolen property, possession of stolen property obtained by crime; careless use/storage of firearm; unauthorized possession of firearm; two counts of breach of undertaking. He was released after a Judicial Interim Release hearing with a scheduled court appearance of March 30, 2022.
