Taber RCMP seek public assistance regarding an historical sexual assault

In the summer of 1990, a 6-year-old child was forcibly taken from her home just outside of Taber by a person who was known to her. 

She was taken to a vehicle that was driven by a male named Ian. The young girl was sexually assaulted by Ian, which caused life altering injuries.  

RCMP are trying to identify Ian. It is believed that he was living in Taber at the time of the offence, but may have lived in Lethbridge, shorty before or after. He drove a motorcycle and also had access to a light blue or grey 1980’s “boxy” 4 door sedan.

Ian was described as:

• A smoker with very yellow and crooked teeth

• Brown or dirty blonde hair, mullet style

• In his early 20’s at the time

• Skinny build and approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall
