On August 25, at approximately 7:40 p.m., Maple Creek RCMP received a report of a robbery at a residence in Maple Creek, SK.
Officers responded immediately. Initial investigation determined that three males, one of which was armed with a firearm, entered a residence, threatened the occupant, stole a bicycle and fled the residence. The occupant of the residence did not report physical injuries to police.
As a result of investigation, 38 year-old Virgil Mosquito is charged with:
• one count, robbery with a firearm, Section 344 (1)(a.1), Criminal Code;
• one count, unauthorized possession of a firearm, Section 91(3), Criminal Code:
• one count, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(2), Criminal Code;
• one count, possess weapon contrary to order, Section 117.01(3), Criminal Code; and
• one count, resist arrest, Section 129(a), Criminal Code
A warrant has been issued for Virgil Mosquito’s arrest and Maple Creek RCMP are working to locate him.
Virgil Mosquito is described as being approximately 5’8”, weighing approximately 165 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair. He has a tattoo below his left eye. A photo of him is attached.
He may be in Maple Creek area, but his current whereabouts are unknown.
Maple Creek RCMP have charged two other individuals in relation to this incident. 22-year-old Damon Desjarlais from Maple Creek was arrested in Maple Creek on August 26 and is charged with:
• one count, robbery with a firearm, Section 344 (1)(a.1). Criminal Code;
• one count, unauthorized possession of a firearm, Section 91(3), Criminal Code;
• one count, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(2), Criminal Code;
• one count, pointing a firearm, Section 87(2), Criminal Code;
• one count, uttering threats, Section 264.1(1)(a), Criminal Code

A male youth is also charged with one count, robbery with firearm, Section 344 (1)(a.1). Criminal Code. A warrant has been issued for his arrest and Maple Creek RCMP are actively working to locate him. We are unable to provide identifying details as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
