Swift Current City RCMP: Search warrant results in charges for Possession for the purposes of trafficking

On October 19, Swift Current City RCMP, Swift Current City RCMP along with the Saskatchewan RCMP Trafficking Response Team, executed a search warrant at a residence on Robert Street East where over four ounces of Methamphetamine was seized along with other drug trafficking paraphernalia. As a result of the seizure, three males are facing one count each of Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. 

34 year old Dustin Stanley Mayer and 27 year old Justice Trey Countryman, both from Swift Current, were remanded for Court and will appear by CCTV on Wednesday October 26, 2022. 37 year old Jace Jorge Jones from Gull Lake was released from custody and will make his first court appearance on November 16, 2022. 

Corporal Christopher Johnson, supervisor for the Swift Current General Investigation Section, says “The partnership between the Swift Current City RCMP and the Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team is extremely important by working together and sharing of information. Together, our units are attempting to disrupt the flow of illegal drugs into Swift Current, which in this case was about $10,000 worth of Meth.”
