16th in Swift Current. GoGreen marks its 11th anniversary as a city beautification project in partnershipwith The City of Swift Current and the Swift Current Creek Watershed Stewards. This event has
ontributed over 2,700 trees and shrubs to our community and we anticipate another 494 trees, shrubs, and perennials being planted through 2022 project sites.
2022 GoGreen projects sites include Memorial Park, the new bike park, the dog park, the mountain bike course, and Ashley Park to name a few. Volunteer duties will include tree and shrub planting, mulching, flower bed maintenance, pathway cleanup, past GoGreen site maintenance, garbage picking, and work along our Swift Current creek beds. Businesses, willing to participate using their staff resources, are welcomed, as are members of the community at large.
“We are really looking forward to seeing a traditional GoGreen event in 2022 with community and
business participation,” commented Stark & Marsh CEO Elden Moberg. “It’s gratifying to see other
businesses and individuals that demonstrate the value they place in the project through their
participation, and we look forward to working with many of those groups and individuals again this year.”
“This is our fifth year as an event partner and we are thrilled to watch the enthusiasm and commitment grow within our staff and community to help lay the foundation for a greener future in Swift Current,” explained Daniel Johnson, CEO of Innovation Credit Union. “GoGreen is no small feat and the impact we make within the city in one day is something everyone involved should be proud of.”
“We’re incredibly grateful to our community partners at Stark & Marsh and Innovation Credit Union for
their generous investments in our community,” said Swift Current Mayor Al Bridal. “It’s a blessing to live in such a beautiful city, and through initiatives like Go Green, we will continue to see the natural beauty of Swift Current grow and thrive.”
