Effective immediately the Piyami Health Centre is temporarily closed following damage from a water leak, to ensure the safety of both patients and staff. This closure includes public health and allied health programs, laboratory services, diagnostic imaging and the ambulatory clinic. Long-term care on site is not affected.

Affected program staff will contact those with appointments to reschedule or relocate appointments. Laboratory and diagnostic imaging services are available in Lethbridge and Coaldale.

The non-urgent walk-in clinic in Coaldale also offers care to people who need to see a doctor but don’t need to be seen in the emergency department. Residents are reminded to call Health Link at 811, which is available 24/7 for non-emergency health-related questions.

Patients seeking emergency care can also access the emergency department at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge. In the event of a medical emergency, please call 911.

AHS is working hard to ensure local residents continue to have access to the care they need during this time.

We are thankful for the support of healthcare teams and centres in the surrounding communities and would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding during this time.
