The Brooks Bandits 2022-23 schedule is released, and will see the team compete in a 60-game regular season schedule starting September 16, ending on March 5.
The Bandits Pre-Season schedule opens on August 31, and will see the team face Drumheller twice, Okotoks three times, plus they will host the British Columbia Hockey League’s Cranbrook Bucks on September 10 at the CRA.
Brooks will open the 2022-23 60-game Regular Season schedule on September 16 at home when they host the Calgary Canucks, which will coincide with the team raising the banners for their 2022 National and AJHL Championships to the rafters.
The 2022 AJHL Showcase will take place in Blackfalds this year, and the Bandits will face the Drayton Valley Thunder on September 29 (8:00 pm) and Fort McMurray Oil Barons on September 30 (4:30 pm).
Highlights of the Regular Season Schedule include the first rematch of the 2022 AJHL South Final vs the rival Okotoks Oilers on October 7, followed by the Bandits Annual Thanksgiving Game on October 10 when the Grande Prairie Storm visit the CRA. Fans won’t have to wait long for a rematch of the 2022 AJHL Final, as the Spruce Grove Saints visit Brooks on October 14. The Bandits visit Spruce Grove on December 9.
The Bandits will host additional Holiday games on January 1 when the Camrose Kodiaks visit for a New Year’s Day matinee. Brooks will host their rivals from Drumheller on February 20 for the Annual Family Day Game.
Returning this season are five weekday games featuring 6:30 pm start times.
