Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance in connection with an investigation into the assault of a young male Monday.

Police responded to a report that a young male had been assaulted by an unidentified, adult male around 7 a.m. on March 14 in the 1100 block of Glacier Road South. Police canvassed the area but did not locate the subject, who fled the scene on foot when approached by a passerby.

Investigators learned the victim, a 12-year-old boy, was walking to school when he was approached by a male who was holding a baseball bat and yelling at him aggressively. The subject was described as approximately 20 to 30 years of age with a thin build and may have been wearing a dark-coloured hoodie and hat. No further details are available.
