The Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization (LSCO) is inviting older adults, families, and community members to explore its programs and services during Senior Discovery Days, happening Friday, September 18, and Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the LSCO facility (500 11 St. S.).

The two-day event offers a welcoming, engaging environment for anyone curious about what the organization has to offer—from current members to those considering getting involved for the first time. Visitors can tour the facility, attend free class demonstrations, meet LSCO groups and hobby clubs, and enjoy hand made items from the LSCO Boutique and delicious refreshments from the LSCO Diner.

Event highlights include:

  • Facility tours and class demos featuring line dancing, yoga, woodworking, Qigong, Yovascia, creative arts and more!
  • Saturday BBQ in the parking lot from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ($12 per person; includes burgers or foot-long hot dogs, potato salad, pasta salad, corn on the cob, and coffee/juice/water)
  • Special guest: A horse from the Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association will be on site Saturday, promoting the upcoming partnership between LTRA and the LSCO!
  • LSCO groups and hobby clubs including badminton, CJOC Amatuer Radio Club, and Lapidary groups will be set up throughout the building to help visitors discover new interests and connections.

“Senior Discovery Days is all about exploration, connection, and fun,” said an LSCO Executive Director, Kaitlynn Weaver. “Whether you’re already part of our community or just curious, this is a perfect opportunity to see what we offer, meet new people, and find a hobby or program that fits your interests.”

The event is made possible thanks to funding support from the City of Lethbridge.
