For the past five years we had to inhale the pollutants of forest fires from BC. Presently wildfires broke loose in Northern Alberta in the areas of Fox Creek, Rainbow Lake, Valleyview, and others. Mankind must be more aware of how to put out hot coals completely before they leave the park after camping

Soak the fire pits with ample water, stir, and make sure there are no smoldering embers. Some fires were started by lightning storms, but others by manmade errors.

Donate any amount to 2023 Alberta Wildfires by clicking on http://www.redcross.ca The government of Alberta and Canada will match every dollar that you donate $3:1 from May 8 – June 3.

Premier Smith announced she will pay $1,250 to all evacuees for seven days and $500 for each child under 18 years of age but this is never enough when a family loses their homes.

When we lived in Taber, we met a community grandma who suggested that whenever there was lightning storm, we should light a blessed palm fronds in a safe container indoors and pray the Lord’s Prayer for the storm to pass by and fizzle out where there are no dangers to anyone.
