Lethbridge Police grateful for community support during Charity Checkstop

Posted on 7 December 2022 by Prairie Post

The Lethbridge Police Service, in partnership with the Christmas Hope campaign, is grateful to citizens who stopped by this weekend to support the 3rd Annual Charity Checkstop.

The event, which took place Saturday at the ENMAX Centre, collected donations of toys and non-perishable food items for Christmas Hope, a collaboration between Volunteer Lethbridge, the Interfaith Food Bank, Lethbridge Food Bank, Lethbridge Family Services (Angel Tree), Salvation Army (Toys for Tots) and My City Care (Shop of Wonders).

Vehicles rolled up to the Checkstop steadily throughout the day. In total, 490 gifts, 1,326 lbs of food and $1,039 in cash donations were received.

On behalf of LPS and Christmas Hope, our heartfelt thanks to the community for their kindness and generosity.

Donations for Christmas Hope will be accepted until December 23, 2022. For more information about the campaign visit https://www.christmashope.ca/
