The following is a synopsis of calls for service for the dates indicated:
NOVEMBER-10
4:04 PM – a male attended the Detachment advising his spouse was in their vehicle and had been consuming alcohol when she is on a court ordered condition not to. The spouse was brought inside where she proceeded to fail an alcohol screening device and was then arrested and held in custody until she was sober. The female will be charged with one count of failing to comply with her probation order under the Criminal Code.
4:47 PM – report of the complainant’s daughter losing his cellphone.
7:55 PM – while on patrol officers issued a written warning to the driver of a grey Dodge Ram for operating a motor vehicle without valid registration.
7:56 PM – report of a theft from a business on the 1700 block of Memorial Drive. This matter is still under investigation.
9:30 PM – report of the caller’s landlord changing the locks to her residence sometime in the last week. The caller advised they had made a verbal agreement about rent but there was now money owed. Police spoke with the caller and advised her this was a civil matter.
10:32 PM – request to conduct a check on a male who is on a court ordered curfew. Police attended the residence and he was home and sober.
NOVEMBER-11
11:34 AM – report of a male living in the caller’s rental property with the male the property has been rented to. Police were able to determine the male had til the end of day to leave and police suggested to the caller he should discuss the rental agreement with his lawyer.
1:30 PM – while on patrol officers issued tickets to the driver of a black GMC Terrain for operating a motor vehicle without valid registration and for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s licence.
3:07 PM – report of a two vehicle collision in the parking lot of a business on the 100 block of North Service Road E. Both vehicle drivers had attended the Detachment to report the collision. The driver of a white Lincoln MKX had backed into a silver Kia Forte causing minor damage to the vehicle’s bumper. No one was injured as a result of the collision and no charges were laid.
NOVEMBER-12
4:14 AM – while on patrol officers issued an inspection ticket to the driver of a brown Ford F350 to have the brake lights on the vehicle repaired or replaced.
6:52 AM – while on patrol officers issued a ticket to the driver of a grey Ford Edge for failing to produce a driver’s licence upon police request. The driver was also issued a written warning for operating a motor vehicle without valid registration.
9:05 AM – report of a theft from a commercial dwelling unit on the 1300 block of North Service Road E. The caller advised they had the responsible male with them , he had stolen a jacket. Police attended the location and arrested the male.
Officers spoke with the owner of the jacket who advised he did not wish to have charges laid, he only wanted it back. The jacket was returned and the male was released without charges.
5:34 PM – report of a suspicious tall, slim male wearing a white hoodie walking with his hands in his pockets on the 400 block of South Service Road E. The male was then seen sitting in a black car with tinted windows. Police made patrols but did not locate any suspicious males walking in the area. The car was located but there were no occupants inside.
7:41 PM – report of an alarm at a business on the 300 block of Cheadle Street W. Officers along with a keyholder for the business attended and confirmed the alarm to be false after ensuring the building was secure.
8:25 PM – report of the caller’s business situated on the 2000 block of Walker Street being broken into and property stolen. A 2013 Ford F350 Supercab bearing Saskatchewan licence plate 035KRG was stolen from the yard as well as a utility trailer that was later recovered in the rural area. This matter is still under investigation.
9:38 PM – report of a female known to the caller stole her purse after the caller kicked her out of her vehicle. Police made patrols attempting to locate the female but were unsuccessful. This matter is still under investigation.
9:39 PM – while on patrol officers issued a ticket to the driver of a white Ford Focus for operating a motor vehicle with an obstructed licence plate.
9:55 PM – report of a two vehicle collision on Central Avenue N. Police attended the collision and it was determined the driver of a white Volkswagen Jetta hit a black Chevrolet 1500 after making a left hand turn from the right hand lane not realizing that it was a one-way street. No one was injured as a result of the collision. The Jetta was required to be towed
from the scene and no charges were laid.
11:22 PM – report of a red Dodge Caravan in the center median on the #1 Highway. Police attended and spoke to the occupant of the vehicle who advised they’d slid into the ditch and drove the vehicle several yards before getting stuck. The vehicle was unregistered and the driver was issued a ticket and a tow company was called.
NOVEMBER-13
3:49 AM – 911 call of a disturbance at a dwelling unit on the 1300 block of Chaplin Street E. The caller advised a female was outside yelling and threatening him. Police attended the residence and located the female who was highly intoxicated. The female was arrested and lodged until sober and will be charged with one count of uttering threats under the Criminal Code.
6:18 AM – report of the caller receiving a text message from a female friend saying “everything isn’t okay” and she was afraid of her spouse. Police attended the residence and both a male and female in the home were arrested for assaulting one another. Each will be charged with one count of assault under the Criminal Code.
6:32 AM – 911 call of a suspicious male scratching at the caller’s window. The caller told him to get away from the window but the male said he was trying to fix it. Police made patrols but could not locate anyone matching the description provided.
9:18 AM – report of a female and two males yelling and screaming in the hallway of a dwelling unit on the 1100 block of 6th Avenue NE. Police attended and spoke to a female and male responsible for the noise who were arguing while the female was packing up her belongings. Police stayed until the female gathered the remainder of her things.
10:51 AM – report of the caller’s fuel tank being drilled into sometime overnight while parked on the 100 block of Ashford Street. This matter is still under investigation.
12:38 PM – 911 misuse call from a residence on the 100 block of 2nd Avenue SE. The caller stated his little sister was playing with the phone and accidentally dialled 911. Officers attended the residence and confirmed no emergency was taking place and had a discussion with the child about when it’s appropriate to dial 911 .
1:44 PM – report of a domestic assault that occurred the night prior. This matter is still under investigation.
3:03 PM – report of the caller’s neighbour yelling, swearing and banging on the walls inside her suite. Police attended and spoke with the neighbour who was upset because someone in a neighbouring unit to hers was being loud. Police could not hear any noise and the neighbour was told to go politely ask them to keep it down if it continues to be a problem.
6:03 PM – report of the caller’s spouse, who is on court ordered no alcohol conditions has been drinking but refuses to give the bottle of alcohol to him . Officers attended the residence and spoke to both subjects and the wife was transported to a hotel for the evening to keep matters from escalating at home.
