Brooks RCMP respond to workplace accident at Lake Newell – update

On Oct. 22, at 5:00 p.m., divers were able to successfully recover the remains of the 55-year-old Brooks resident who on Oct. 19, 2022, was doing maintenance on a dam in Lake New and never returned.

Occupational Health and Safety have been advised and are conducting an investigation.

Witnesses report that a diver was doing maintenance on a dam and never returned.
