Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team Regional Property Crime Unit Medicine Hat execute search warrant

On June 14, Redcliff RCMP received report of a commercial break and enter where computers, laptops and an AED were stolen.

On June 15, Redcliff RCMP received another report of a commercial break and enter where an ATV, furniture, first aid kit and other property was stolen. Redcliff RCMP conducted an investigation that led them to a residential property in Suffield, Alta. ,where the stolen ATV was believed to be located due to GPS tracking. On the property, police also located a truck that had been stolen out of Medicine Hat, Alta.

Redcliff RCMP and ALERT RPCU Medicine Hat arrested four suspects at the Suffield residence and later executed a search warrant which resulted in the recovery of the stolen truck, ATV, computers, laptops, AED, furniture, first aid kit, tools and other property from both break and enters.

A 43-year-old female and 32-year old male from Suffield were arrested and charged with the following offences:

·       Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 (x2)

·       Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 (x12)

Brian Aske (43) of Medicine Hat, Alta., was arrested and charged with the following offences:

·       Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 (x2)

·       Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 (x12)

Donald Nelson (45) of Medicine Hat, Alta., was arrested and charged with the following offences:

·       Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 (x2)

·       Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 (x12)

·       Fail to comply with probation order (x2)

The 43-year-old female and 32-year-old male were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Medicine Hat Provincial court on July 13, 2022. Following judicial interim release hearings, Aske and Nelson were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Medicine Hat Provincial court on July 28 and July 29, 2022.
