The 2016/17 school year is underway and with it another full slate of fall sports. Athletes and coaches will be competing in golf, soccer, volleyball, football and cross country.

Racing was fast and furious at the Living Sky Casino Speedway in Swift Current on Aug. 27 as dirt oval racers had their final opportunity to score points towards the season championship.

Two Swift Current minor baseball teams are on their way to the 2016 Western Canada Championships after competing successfully at provincial tournaments.

The SHSAA (Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association) held its AGM in Saskatoon June 22-24.

Surging for a big basketball tourney

The U15 Girls SURGE basketball club won their own Southwest Showdown tournament June 10-11 in Swift Current scoring three straight relatively easy wins June 10-11. 

The name Anderson was found a lot at the Saskatchewan High School Rodeo Association finals winners circle.
