Parker Kelly opened the scoring for Prince Albert 8:57 into the first period courtesy of a Raiders power play and the Broncos were down 1-0.
Lane Pederson countered for Swift Current, tapping in his 20th of the season after receiving a nice pass from Colby Sissons deep in Raiders territory and tying it up 1-1.
Goaltending was the story of the middle frame as the Broncos Jordan Papirny saved all 10 shots he faced while Ian Scott backstopped 15 Bronco shots to keep this East Division battle knotted up at one goal apiece.
With less than 10 minutes to go in the final frame, Kaden Elder broke the tie by slapping in a one-timer by the pad side of Scott to give the Broncos a 2-1 lead.
The Raiders wouldn't go away quietly as Kelly deposited his second of the night, gathering a rebound from a Cavin Leth wrist shot and backhanding in a low shot by Papirny.
It was a contest that could have gone either way as the game was still tied 2-2 in the dying moments. Late heroics then occurred as Tyler Steenbergen came roaring up the left wing and fired a good low wrist shot by Scott to put the Broncos back ahead 3-2 with 57 seconds left on the clock.
Prince Albert would pull Scott for the extra attacker 6-on-5 but 20-year-old Ryley Lindgren would pot in an empty netter from center ice to seal the deal. The Broncos go a perfect 3-0 on their road trip and are now carrying a five-game winning streak.
Shots on goal were 36-35 in favour of Swift Current. The Raiders went 1/3 on the power play while the Broncos went 0/2.
Swift Current closed out the regular season series against Prince Albert with an impressive 7-1-0-0 record.
The Broncos return home for a date with the Regina Pats at the Credit Union i-Plex on Wednesday, March 8th. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00pm CT.
