Tigers' alumni game cancelled

The Medicine Hat WHL/Tigers alumni game scheduled for Friday, March 3, at the Canalta Centre will no longer proceed as scheduled due to challenges coordinating logistics.


The City of Medicine Hat, the Canalta Centre and the local organizing committee regret having to cancel the event. The public’s understanding is appreciated.

Hockey fans of all ages are welcome to join the City’s street party from 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight in downtown Medicine Hat. Events include street ball hockey, food trucks, fire truck display, shooter skill station, bonfire, hay rides, the Hockey Circus Show, fireworks at 11:00 p.m. and a variety of other entertainment.

The Beveridge Building will also be offering a hockey/sports memorabilia show including a History of Hockey in Medicine Hat, live bands featuring Mahoney, Bad Hatters and Snakes and the Riot., refreshments, and Skinny’s Smoke House.

The Monarch Theatre will be playing 2 movies at 6pm and 8pm. Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite hockey attire.

Rogers Hometown Hockey officially starts at 12 noon Saturday March 4 where many more activities will be taking place around City Hall Plaza along 1st Street, including live broadcast with Ron McLean & Tara Slone.
