Swift Current has a new, more permanent reminder of the services, sacrifices and contributions by Canadian soldiers after the renaming of a portion of Highway 4 within the city boundaries to Memorial Drive.

Another road closure for Swift Current drivers: Nov. 16

Swift Current drivers should be aware of 19 Ave NW - between Chaplin St W and the South Service Rd W will be closed today due to a water valve replacement.

Be advised Battleford Trail E will be closed from Oasis Drive to Springs Drive is restricted to one lane until approximately 6 p.m. Nov. 16 due to a water/sewer service installation.

Highway 1 between Moose Jaw and Regina has been named "Saskatchewan's Highway of Heroes" as a permanent tribute to Canadian Forces personnel from Saskatchewan who have lost their lives in service to our country.
