Saskatchewan's average wages are the second highest in the country for the first time since records have been recorded and, for the first time, passed Ontario in weekly earnings.

Swift Current has the most unbalanced municipal property tax system of the 14 cities in Saskatchewan, according to a new study by the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) that was released on Nov. 16. However, it is an assessment the City of Swift Current does not agree with.

Number of EI recipients in Sask. continues to drop

The number of Saskatchewan people receiving regular Employment Insurance dropped significantly in September, decreasing by 3,230 (-24.9 per cent) compared to the same month last year (seasonally adjusted).

CFIB: Swift Current has most unfair municipal tax system
