Medicine Hat College loses basketball coach

The Medicine Hat College Rattlers have some big shoes to fill with the announcement that women’s basketball coach, Jason McLester has resigned from his position effective immediately June 21. McLester has accepted a full-time teaching position in the university-transfer education program at Medicine Hat College.

Students from Medicine Hat College (MHC) helped lead Team Alberta at this year’s Skills Canada National Competition in Moncton, New Brunswick and brought home medals.

Like many employees at the Medicine Hat College, Zoë Brooks-Lacasse, the well organized marketing officer for college advancement, looks forward to seeing the graduating students cross the gauntlet.

Several awards will be handed out at the ceremonies including Student of the Year, Instructor of the Year, Governor General’s Academic Medal and Honorary Applied Baccalaureate Degree.

The 10th annual SunDogs Auction Extravaganza raised a net profit of $16,700 for the Great Plains College SunDogs Athletics program.

For those who have even done any post secondary education, they will understand the amount of stress students, not the party lifestyle/atmosphere often stereotyped.

It was a big week for the Medicine Hat athletics program.
