Former Swift Current punk rock band holds reunion concert at Lyric Theatre, March 24, 2017

The former Swift Current punk rock band One Man Short held a reunion concert at the Lyric Theatre, March 24. This was the first time in more than 10 years that the three original band members – Michael Jewitt (bass), John McLean (lead vocals, drums) and Brent Patoine (guitar) – came together on stage. The band had a successful run from 2001 to 2005 and recorded a full-length album. The trio played regularly at the Inferno, a nightclub that was located in the historic Lyric Theatre building until 2003. The band's reunion show, which was presented by Big Siddy Productions, included performances by a number of other artists. Pictured, in order of appearance during the evening, Swift Current singer-songwriter Vanessa Gauvin, local band Kill the Lights, Saskatoon band Off the Top Rope, and One Man Short.
