3A Soccer Regionals in Prince Albert goes well for Ardens

The Swift Current Comp/ Ardens soccer team are going to 3A provincials.

They went in seeded first out of 4 teams needing a top two finish to advance to Provincials.

They had an 11-0 win over Lloydminster Holy Rosary to clinch spot at Provincials.
Jaden McKenzie and Ali Vance combined to earn the shutout.
Lauryn Hayes led the Ardens with a hat trick, followed by two goals apiece from MJ Anderson and Taylor Kohls. Jannae Carlson, Allison Wall, and Calli Moreau-Simpson all added a goal and an assist. Juliana Whalen also found the back of the net for her first career goal with the Ardens.
Jessica Warren, Rebecca Treen, and Cassie Barber all registered two-assist outings, while Vance and Jodi Jacklin added singles.

They also efeated host Prince Albert Carlton Crusaders in penalty kicks in final. 4-4 after regulation and then scored all five from the penalty spot.
Carlson had 2 goals and 1 assist
Hayes one goal and 2 assists.
MJ Anderson 1 goal and 1 assist
McKenzie in goal for regulation and OT, while Aleah Nickel was goalkeeper in shootout

Provincials begin Friday in Estevan on Friday. 8-team tournament, schedule should be out Monday. The Ardens have two straight bronze medals.
