Another step to the start of the 2017-18 season is in the books as the Swift Current Broncos introduced the slate of promo nights for the 51st regular season.

The Swift Current Broncos long-anticipated home opener presented by Pioneer Coop is slated for Saturday, Oct. 7 against the Kootenay ICE at the Innovation Credit Union iPlex.
A pre-game barbecue is scheduled and there will be a variety of activities for all ages prior to puck drop. Staff and volunteers will hand out magnetic schedules and rally towels for the first 1,000 fans to enter the building.
There will also be a tribute to long-time game day volunteer Dennis Loeppky as part of a special pre-game ceremony.
The Broncos have had a long history of special themed jerseys the players sport on one or two game nights on an annual basis and that trend will continue.
The team will wear a commemorative jersey to honour veterans and cadets as part of Remembrance Day Nov. 11 when the Lethbridge Hurricanes roll into town as the visiting club.
The 2017-18 campaign also brings several new theme nights. Carnival Night is coming to the Innovation Credit Union iPlex on Saturday, Nov. 25 and will include games in the lobby, toy and candy giveaways along with  cotton candy for sale.
Then there is Jackpot January on various game nights throughout the month that will contain exclusive giveaways, followed by the induction of the 1993 WHL Champion Swift Current Broncos into the Broncos Hall of Fame on Jan. 27 against the Regina Pats.
The Broncos in conjunction with the Western Hockey League will introduce ‘WHL Suits up with Don Cherry’ to Promote Organ Donation presented by RE/MAX on March 3. There will be 1,000 Don Cherry Bobbleheads distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis on top of the Broncos players donning a truly unique Don Cherry-themed jersey.
Of course there are fan favourite promos returning for another season.
On Saturday, Dec. 2, the Broncos welcome the Moose Jaw Warriors for the annual Teddy Bear Toss presented by Pattison Agriculture benefitting the Salvation Army.
Fans are encouraged to bring teddy bears, toques and mitts to donate and toss on the ice the moment the Broncos score their first goal of the game.
Crescent Point Minor Hockey Night returns Dec. 27 while the whole family can get in on Charlie Horse’s birthday on Saturday, Feb. 10 when Swift Current hosts the Brandon Wheat Kings.
Wrapping things up, Fan Appreciation Night will claim the final home game of the regular season landing on Saturday, March 17 against the Regina Pats.
The evening will be filled with giveaways galore and the 2017-18 Broncos Awards ceremony highlighting Team MVP and Fan’s Most Popular Player.
Intermission promotions coming back include the fan favourite B&A Petroleum Zorb Balls, Voth’s BrandSource Musical Chairs and Timbits Hockey.
Two for One Tuesdays is an attractable option for all fans and that includes two tickets  for the price of one to go along with drink and concession specials.
Wiener Wednesdays are back as well. Treen Packers partners up with the Broncos and will have hot dogs on sale for $3.50 each on all Wednesday evening tilts. Happy Hour Fridays are coming to the Innovation Credit Union iPlex. Appetizer specials and alcoholic drinks are $5 from 6-7 p.m.
You and your family can enjoy Family Day Saturdays all season long as presented by The Eagle 94.1. Ticket specials include receiving four tickets (two adults, two youth), four hot dogs, four drinks and four kids tattoos for $60.
The Pizza Hut Puck and Pie Special has been implemented this season with the package benefitting groups. With a minimum group of six, each adult can get a game ticket, drink and a pizza for only $20 each while the same package is offered for youth at $10 per person.
Season tickets for the 2017-18 campaign are on sale. Purchase your seats by phoning 306-773-1509 ext. 1 or visit the Stable during regular box office hours.
