Bandits to host Chad Johnson Night January 20th

One of the Brooks Bandits’ most well-remembered and accomplished alumni will return to Brooks on Friday, January 20th, the team announced Jan. 4, as the Bandits organization unveiled its upcoming Chad Johnson Night at the Centennial Regional Arena.

Not one, not two, not three but four was the number of unanswered goals that the Swift Current Broncos put up to eliminate a three-goal deficit and beat the pesky Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-4 on Tuesday night at the Credit Union iplex.

The SWAC senior basketball season continued on Dec. 13 with two boys and two girls games.

The Swift Current Broncos wrapped up their first half of the 2016-17 WHL regular season by collecting their third straight win, beating the Prince Albert Raiders by a score of 4-3 on Saturday night at the Art Hauser Centre.

The Brooks Bandits (27-3-4) capped off their pre-Christmas schedule with a 4-1 home win over the Fort McMurray Oil Barons on Saturday night, in front of a season-high 1,410 fans at the Centennial Regional Arena.

The Brooks Bandits (26-3-4) got seven goals from seven different goal scorers, dispatching the visiting Lloydminster Bobcats 7-0 as Alex Horawski (Toronto, ON) registered his second consecutive shutout, stopping all 23 shots he faced.
