The Swift Current Trap Club is hosting the Saskatchewan Amateur Trap Shooting Association [SATA] Provincial Championship July 12 – 15.

The event will be held at the Club Facilities adjacent to the Swift Current Airport on the North East property edge.Turn north just east of the Airport and Club entrance is ½ mile up.
Approximately 80 shooters will be in attendance striving for the Provincial Championship title in single, handicap, and doubles shooting. This will be the first time the Swift Current Club has hosted such a high caliber event. This is also the Club’s 40th Anniversary at this location.
On the Championship Day, Saturday July 14. at 845 a.m. there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony officially opening the shoot. In attendance will be the President of SATA, Nicole Decorby and the Canadian Trap Association President, Dwight Smith. There will also be long time serving club members to celebrate this occasion.
A special recognition to be held that morning will be a honor shoot off to recognize all of the Trap Members who have passed away. This is a very touching ceremony held by Trap Associations and a very unique experience.
The Swift Current Trap Club has approximately 65 members and regularly shoots Tuesday and Thursday evenings along with Sunday afternoons. In the spring they hold a four week league championship along with one or two SATA sanctioned registered shoot competitions. New members are always welcome, and coaching is provided. The SC Trap Club is a CFO Approved Range.
