Swift Current RCMP calls for service May 4-6

The following is a synopsis of calls for service for the dates indicated:


2018-MAY-4
4:00 PM -report of an assault occurring at a business on the 1100 block of Central Ave. N. The people involved had left the business before officers attended. No victims have come forward & no criminal charges have been laid in relation to the incident.
4:25 PM - report of a vehicle driving past a school bus while it's stop arm & lights were engaged. No plate number was able to be obtained at the time of the incident.
4:29 PM - report of a disturbance at a location on the 2000 block of Saskatchewan Drive. Officers attended the scene & were able to maintain the peace between a mother & daughter who had been arguing.
5:03 PM - request received from a mother to conduct a well being check on her 17 year old son who was believed to be in Swift Current. Officers located the youth.
6:21 PM - 911 call of a female youth assaulting a male youth on the 1300 block of Chaplin Street E. Officers attended & one female youth will be charged in relation to the incident.
9:50 PM - report of a male causing damage to a home on the 100 block of Lorne Street E. The male had left the residence prior to officers arriving. This matter is still under investigation.
10:20 PM - 911 call from a business on the 100 block of North Service Road E. Officers determined there was no emergency, 911 had been dialed by mistake.
10:38 PM - 911 call on Chaplin Street E. A male is walking in front of traffic & is speaking nonsensically. Officers attended & located the male & confirmed there was no emergency.
11: 16 PM -report of a bonfire in a back yard on the 400 block of 8th Ave. N.E. close to the fence. Officers attended & determined there was no violation.
2018-MAY-5
1:22 AM - report of people outside a residence on the O block of 6th Ave. N.E. playing guitars & singing. Officers made patrols of the area but could not locate the people in question & could not hear any noise in the area.
2:39 AM -911 call of a male driving a white van approaching a female on the 200 block of Central Ave. N. & offering her $50 to go somewhere with him. This matter is still under investigation.
4:50 AM -911 call of a dispute at a residence on the 500 block of 10th Ave. N.E. The neighbours have been screaming & arguing for the last hour & it also sounds like items in the residence are being thrown & broken. Officers attended the residence & located a lone female who was transferred to the hospital.
12:26 PM - report of a residential alarm going off on the 500 block of Stenson Place. Officers attended & determined the alarm to be false.
1 :31 PM - report of a residential alarm going off on the 500 block of Stenson Place. Officers attended & determined the alarm to be false.
3:45 PM -found purse turned into the Detachment. The owner of the purse was contacted & attended the office to pick it up.
4:46 PM -911 call of mischief that occurred overnight at a residence on the 300 block of 2nd Ave. S.E. A screen had been removed from a window however there was no signs of entry into the residence. This matter is still under investigation.
6:47 PM - report of an intoxicated female yelling & screaming on the street on the 700 block of 1st Ave. N.W. Officers attended & arrested & lodged an intoxicated female who was held until sober. No criminal charges were laid in relation to the incident.
7:42 PM - report of a missing 22 year old female who was believed to be in Swift Current. The female was later located in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.
10:58 PM - report of neighbours drinking, having a bonfire & being loud on the O block of 3rd Ave. N.E. Officers attended & the neighbours in question agreed to quiet down.
11 :51 PM - request for well being check on on a female youth. Female was later located by her family.
2018-MAY-6
1 :43 AM -911 call of someone coming to a residence on the 400 block of 8th Ave. N. E. ringing the door bell & then when
they answer the door they take off. Officers made patrols of the area but were unable to locate anyone.
1 :56 AM - report of an alarm going off at a business on the 1800 block of South Service Road W. Officers attended &
determined the alarm to be false.
1 :52 PM - report of a hit & run to a black Nissan Maxima that had occurred the day prior in a parking lot on the 1100 block
of 11th Ave. N.E. Believes it may have been the Black Dodge Durango that had been parked in front of the vehicle. This
matter is still under investigation.
5:46 PM -while on patrol officers located a black Ford Explorer operating without valid registration. The female driver was
charged under the Traffic Safety Act.
9: 16 PM -found purse turned into the Detachment. Purse returned to it's owner.
