Swift Current RCMP this past weekend

The following is a synopsis of calls for service for the dates indicated by the Swift Current Municipal RCMP Detachment:


2018-MARCH-9
4:45 PM - report of 24 year old female in cardiac arrest. The female was transported to the hospital.
7:18 PM - report of a collision at the Riverside Park where a vehicle hit a lamp post. No one was injured in the collision.
The female driver was charged under the Traffic Safety Act.
10:12 PM -report of a collision on the O block of Hayes Drive. No one was injured in the collision & no charges were laid.
11 :43 PM -report of a small bag of what is believed to be drugs found at a business on the 1400 block of North Service Road E. Officers attended the business & picked up the bag for disposal.
2018-MARCH-10
1 :38 AM - report of a disturbance at a business of the 200 block of Central Avenue N. Officers attended & determined two males had gotten into an argument & went their seperate ways before officers had arrived on scene.
2:35 AM - report of a break & enter in progress on Central Avenue S. Officers attended & determined no break & enter was occuring, there was a small house party taking place.
2:39 AM -911 misdial. Officers determined there was no emergency. A female stated that her friend had told her that if you press a button on your phone a bunch of times it will call 911. The female did not believe her & tried it, which then connected her with 911.
9: 10 AM - 911 call. Caller could see steam coming out of a building on the 2000 block of Chaplin Street E. Officers attended & determined there was no emergency.
9:32 AM - request to do a well being check a 76 year old female on the 300 block of Cowie Crescent. The caller has not been able to get in touch with the female. Officers attended the residence & the female was located safe at home, her phone had died.
11: 11 AM - report of an alarm on the 100 block of 7th Avenue N. E. Officers attended & determined the alarm to be false.
2:37 PM - report of a stolen licence plate that may of possibly occured in Calgary.
8:24 PM -found purse turned into the Detachment. The owner of the purse has been contacted.
10: 41 PM -report of an intoxicated male on Central Avenue N. Officers made patrols & were unable to locate the male.
1: 17 AM -911 call on the O block of Central Avenue N. Intoxicated male patron had been threatening one of the staff at the business. Officers attended & resolved the matter without charges. The male patron was removed from the establishment.
1 :44 AM -911 call of an assault on the 200 block of Central Avenue N. A male had been hit over the head with a beer bottle & was transported to the hospital. A 30 year old male from Swift Current has been arrested & will be charged under the Criminal Code with 2 counts of assault with a weapon, 1 count of assault causing bodily harm & 1 count of causing a disturbance in relation to this matter. The male is set to appear in Swift Current Provincial Court on April 11, 2018.
3:33 PM -report of a suspicious male sitting in his vehicle in the alley of the 400 block of 2nd Avenue N.W. Officers
attended the location & found an intoxicated male asleep behind the wheel of this vehicle while it was running. A 41 year
old male from Swift Current was arrested & will be charged under the Criminal Code with impaired care & control of a motor vehicle & failure/refusal to provide breath sample in relation to this matter. The male is set to appear in Swift Current Provincial Court April 4, 2018.
4:40 PM - report of suicidal individual. Officers located the individual who was then transported to the hospital by EMS.
7:33 PM -911 call of a child custody dispute. Officers resolved the matter without charges.
8:35 PM -911 call of an assault on the O block of Central Avenue N. Officers attended & all parties involved had already left. This matter is still under investigation.
