Saskatchewan scores a hat trick as Sportsnet and Scotiabank revealed today that the 19th edition of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada will take place in Swift Current on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, bringing Canada’s biggest single-day hockey celebration to Saskatchewan for the third time.

The following is a synopsis of calls for service for the dates indicated by the Swift Current Municipal RCMP:

Biking and hiking enthusiasts may wish to keep their eyes on an upcoming project that will provide long term opportunities for members of the community. Preparations are underway to construct an cross country Bike Trail in the coulee area adjacent to 11th Avenue NW, directly south of the Highland Subdivision.

The Swift Current Broncos is looking to fill two key positions in the organization after an announcement about the future of Head Coach Manny Viveiros and Director of Business Operations Dianne Sletten.

Broncos barbecue party goes May 25

The Swift Current Broncos and City of Swift Current are having a barbecue on Friday, May 25th at Riverside Park from 5-8 p.m. to celebrate the 2018 WHL Championship title.

The Dance Studio students in Swift Current will conclude a season of intense training and competition with two events to showcase their talents to family and friends.

After a career of 35 years in the fire service, Swift Current Fire Chief Denis Pilon is looking forward to  spend more time with his grandchildren and to gaze at the stars during his retirement.

The Swift Current United Way made a special presentation to long-time volunteer Archie Green to recognize his dedication to the organization.
