Swift Current’s Central School will receive its outdoor classroom.
Principal Bryan Braun received word on Tuesday that the school had won the main prize in the Majesta and Tree Canada’s Trees of Knowledge Competition.

On May 19th members of Swift Current Traffic Services stopped a vehicle for speeding eastbound on Highway 1 near Swift Current.

Premier Brad Wall announced today that the provincial government is moving forward on the next phase to replace three aging long-term care homes built in Swift Current in the 1950s and 1960s.

 

A new cardlock facility for dispensing aviation fuels at the Swift Current airport is making it easier for local and visiting aircraft to refuel.

On May 11th at approximately 5 p.m., members of the Swift Current Regional Traffic Services Unit stopped a semi-trailer on the #1 Highway, 16 km. west of Swift Current. 

The City of Swift Current Recreation & Parks Department would like to announce that the park washrooms will be open for the May long weekend.

Swift Current parkway will have disruptions

The Parkway along Elmwood Park will be disrupted this week due to an asphalt overlay being done to the path.

On the evening of May 8 the Swift Current RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 200 block of 4th Avenue SE, Swift Current. RCMP members located and seized marijuana, Canadian currency, drug-related paraphernalia, and firearms.
 

The success of the Cypress Health Region's midwifery service was evident at a potluck lunch in Swift Current on May 5, where happy parents and their young children came together to celebrate the International Day of the Midwife.
