Are you an adult interested in leading physical activity classes for other adults in your community? A workshop is going to be held on the weekend of June 8, 9 and 10 for interested community members in the southwest to become trained leaders for the Forever…in motion program.

Forever…in motion is an initiative that helps adults become physically active through volunteer led physical activity groups. This program was developed by the Saskatoon Health Region and provincially implemented by the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association.

“This is a great workshop to learn about physical activity, proper exercise techniques, and the benefits of being active as we become older adults,” says Anne Weisgerber, Community Consultant of South West District for Culture, Recreation & Sport. “Please consider becoming a Forever…in motion leader.”

This workshop will be held in the Stampede room upstairs at the Palliser Pavilion on Friday, June 8 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, and Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The cost of the registration is $25 which includes the leader manual and lunches each day.

Anyone can become a Forever…in motion leader. No previous experience is necessary.
