Chinook elects new board chairman

Dr. Shane Andrus was elected as the new board chair at the Chinook School Division's annual organizational meeting, Nov. 6.


Kim Pridmore is the board's newly elected vice-chair for the 2017-18 term. Acting Director of Education is still Kyle McIntyre. Dr. Andrus was the board's vice-chair for the past year.
He is serving his second term as a trustee for subdivision 1, which is located on the west side of the school division.
It includes schools in the communities of Burstall, Fox Valley, and Leader.
Pridmore is serving her first term as trustee for subdivision 5, the Consul and Maple Creek area.
She has been a resident of that area for most of her life and she has been living in the Consul area since 1996.
Board member appointments to various standing and external committees were made during the organizational meeting.
