The capital expansion project in Leader, including various renovations and enhancements to the interior of the existing long-term care side of the facility, continues to reach new construction milestones and remains on schedule to open its doors as the Leader and District Integrated Healthcare Facility this summer.

The Chinook School Division is completing the two-year process to replace outdated computer hardware in schools with easier to use Chromebooks.

On the heels of a year where $54 million fewer dollars were available to support students in Saskatchewan classrooms, the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation (STF) has learned that school boards are being called on by the government to prepare for another round of cuts in the upcoming provincial budget. 

Under the guidance of Medical Health Officer Dr. David Torr, The Gull Lake Special Care Centre was placed under outbreak status due to the presence of respiratory illness on Jan. 17.
