After a two-hour postponement to have more time to reach his decision, Judge L.A. Matsalla denied a bail application by one of three men who are facing various charges as a result of a drug investigation by law enforcement agencies in Canada and the U.S.

Three of the men who are facing various charges as a result of a multi-agency drug investigation by law enforcement groups in Canada and the U.S. made their first court appearances in Swift Current on Wednesday.

Recently the Federal Government has announced some new ‘law and order’ initiatives. The Correctional and Justice Services of The Salvation Army in Regina is having a grand re-opening at 10:30 on September 30th. With so much going on in the way of justice these days, I thought I would take this opportunity to share some of what we are doing in Swift Current to provide justice for those in need in our community.
