Brooks RCMP arrest Patricia man with six arrest warrants

On June 5, RCMP members in Brooks attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a suspected prolific offender on a stolen motorcycle in the city of Brooks; however, the suspect fled from police. 

 

As a result, on June 6th, members from Brooks RCMP, the Brooks General Investigation Section, and from the Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Team, initiated an operation and located the suspect and stolen motorcycle at a residence in Brooks. 

As a result of the joint operation, the suspect was taken into custody without incident outside the residence. 
Found in the suspect's possession were numerous stolen identity cards, forged documents, and stolen cheques. 
The suspect was identified as 34 year old Adam Zinger from Patricia. 
Zinger was found to be on a total of 6 outstanding arrest warrants containing a total of 72 criminal charges; the charges included property, person, fraud, and weapons offences. 
Further to this, Brooks RCMP laid an additional 25 criminal charges and 2 charges under the Traffic Safety Act. 
The charges include flight from police, possession of stolen property, possession of stolen documents, fail to comply with release conditions, possess forged documents, drive unauthorized and more. 
Zinger was remanded into custody by a Justice of the Peace and is to appear in Brooks Provincial Court on June 13, Lethbridge Provincial Court on June 14, and Calgary Provincial Court on June 15 to answer to the charges. 
Several items were seized during the operation including a stolen 1999 Suzuki motorcycle, stolen and forged documents, stolen identity cards, and a 2003 Ford F150. 
A 33 year old female was also arrested on scene but released without charges.  RCMP continue to investigate this matter.
