The City of Brooks Arts, Culture & Heritage Board (ACH) is inviting the public to provide feedback on
developing a vision and plan for a new facility.

Those interested can provide input through an online survey
as well as an open house on June 14 from 7-9 p.m. at 511 2nd Street West (Old Prairie Pioneers Building).

The ACH was formed in December 2016 out of the existing Recreation, Parks and Culture Board. City Council
felt that arts, culture and heritage were unique portfolios and should be dealt with by a separate organization
who could better focus on the community's existing strengths and gaps.

Since their first official meeting in April 2017, the ACH has developed a strategic plan that identifies four
areas of focus: Policy, Partnerships, Programs and Promotions. Part of the strategy includes creating a plan
for a new Arts, Culture and Heritage Centre that will help serve the interests of existing arts, culture and
heritage organizations while encouraging and supporting the development of new programs within our
community.

All information collected will be reviewed by the ACH Board and used to develop recommendations to City
Council regarding how this new Centre will be used. The deadline to complete the survey is on Thursday, June
14 at 4:30 p.m. Hard copies can also be printed and delivered to the JBS Canada Centre by the deadline. The
online survey can be found by visiting: http://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ACHCentre.
