K Lazy T Angus, west of Seven Persons, was host to a successful day of learning through the Southern Alberta Angus Club, Aug. 19.

A nationally- and internationally- respected researcher of beef cattle health and welfare has been awarded the 2017 Canadian Beef Industry Award for Outstanding Research and Innovation.

There a number of factors contributing to how well grain stores until it is delivered to the customer. Producers are familiar with the factors such as moisture content and grain temperature. One factor often neglected is the size of storage bins we use and its potential impact on storage problems.

Harvest management tools include chemical options such as desiccants for crop dry down or pre- harvest herbicides for controlling perennial or heavy green annual weeds.
