Today, Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz and Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister Lyle Stewart announced details of the 2013 Crop Insurance Program, which includes record funding and record coverage levels.

Dutch Elm Disease confirmed in Maple Creek

In August 2012, for the first time a single American elm tree was diagnosed positive for Dutch elm disease (DED) in the Town of Maple Creek. Maple Creek is only 100 kilometers east of the City of Medicine Hat. The news was announced Jan. 21.
