Improving livestock distribution on pasture

Many producers could improve the health of their range and pastureland by improving livestock distribution. Livestock distribution refers to the dispersion of grazing animals over an entire pasture.

Farm Credit Canada (FCC) has entered into a partnership with the Do More Agriculture (DMA) Foundation to create a network of mental health first aiders who can identify and support producers coping with difficult or unfortunate circumstances.

Lethbridge College’s Agricultural Enterprise Management (AEM) program kicks off this September, and those students enrolled in full-time AEM studies in its first year will receive a one-time $1,000 tuition credit.

11-22 Seed cleaning plant passes first hurdle

The first hurdle has been cleared for the 11-22 Seed Cleaning Plant as it works to building a bigger, more efficient facility with better access for the grain haulers.

The distance from farm to table will soon be getting a lot shorter for Calgary Co-op members.

Canadian grain farmers are applauding May 22’s passage of Bill C-49, the Transportation Modernization Act. The House of Commons and Senate voted in favour of the Bill, paving the way for it to receive Royal Assent.
