Stirling hosts 10th Annual Fall Festival Sept. 10

Community celebrations commence this September with another rendition of Stirling’s fall festival. The 10th annual event is back on Saturday, Sept. 10 with more food, activities and festivities for the community to enjoy.

The official opening of a new local brewery within Lundbreck, called Oldman River Brewing, took place July 29.

Warner Hockey School skates back into action

The school that brings hockey to the students is back again for the 2017-2018 season after a one-year hiatus.

The Spirit of the Badlands Tour was back once again this year, as actor, musician and storyteller, Tom Jackson returned for another journey through the famous Canadian badlands.

William Lloyd Mracek (known by his family and friends as Bill) and his family celebrated his 95th birthday this year at the Bomber Command Museum in Nanton, where Mracek was re-presented with the sacred Red Eye Caterpillar Club Pin.

Families can run head on into the fun this September with the 3rd annual MoonShadow run. The event which is being held this year on Sept. 30, is organized to help raise funds for the non-profit organization KidSport that has its own chapter within the town of Pincher Creek.
