Mobile mammography service to visit Bow Island

Women ages 50 to 74 — the group most at risk of developing breast cancer — will have local access to mammography services when Alberta Health Services’ Screen Test program arrives in the community this month.

(CP) Federal Agriculture Minister Lawrence MacAulay says the problems moving Canadian grain this year are ongoing and unfortunate.

The countdown is on!  March 27, marked 500 days out ‘till the bell is rung to kick off the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games, set to take place August 9-18, 2019, in Swift Current.

Broncos win game three

The best-of-seven series between these two East Division titan Swift Current Broncos and Regina Pats took place on Monday night at the Brandt Centre and it was an outstanding performance by the visiting club as they knocked off the Pats by a 4-1 score to grab a 2-1 series lead.

Exam results, technology, and a presentation from Schuler School were highlights on the agenda for the PRSD trustee meeting, held at the division office in Dunmore on March 13.

Long-time amateur radio enthusiast Ray Gowan of Swift Current is helping others to get involved in what he considers to be the most diverse and interesting hobby on the planet.
