On July 27th Blenders will be hosting a concert in conjunction with this summer's Music Camp.

Twenty young musicians will be taking part in this year's Music Camp.  Students will learn from talented touring musicians the skills they need to better develop their techniques, group dynamics, and stage presence, prepping them for joining a rock band.  Students will have the opportunity to use cool gear, play on a stage at the Lyric Theatre, and play the music they love!

Then on Thursday July 27, the students will meet Dagan Harding.  He is a Canadian singer-songwriter based out of Regina, who has written, performed and recorded music in various groups and collaborations since 2000.

Upon his recent return to the prairies, Dagan Harding has brought with him a new batch of songs and his unique approach to writing, singing and playing - all influenced by his neighbour Leonard Cohen, and bands The Smiths, The Sonics and early punk legends Fugazi.

With over a decade of experience under his belt, Dagan’s musical ideas host sensitive and experimental arrangements with a pop-delivery impressive to music fans from all backgrounds.

He has played alongside many of Canada’s most successful artists including making appearances at SXSW with Sam Roberts and Metric, and touring with the Weakerthans throughout the United States

Dagan will be performing, after spending the afternoon with the Music Camp kids, where he will be assisting in teaching as well as sharing his experiences in the music industry.

Opening up the show for Dagan Harding will be the Music Camp Band backed up by camp instructors, Bears in Hazenmore.

Please get some tickets and come enjoy our Summer Concert!  It is on Thursday, July 27th at the Lyric Theatre with doors at 7:30pm and music at 8:30pm.  Adults tickets are $25 and students get in for $15 and tickets are available at Pharmasave.  Come support the young musicians of Swift Current
