Parents looking for an interesting week-long camp for their children in southeast Alberta can check out an offering by Pascalle Wisse through VDK Dressage Equestrian Centre.

It’s time to take radon seriously

No one likes “big brother” looking out for our every whim and need, but one area where some additional government regulation could be good is around radon.

Prairie Rose School Division board trustees approved a couple of field trips for students in the division at the May 9 regular meeting.

With a board motion, New Brigden School officially got back its Grade 4 programming for the 2017/18 school year, and will see the Kindergarten students become more integrated into the school in the coming year.

When something works as well as it does in Dinosaur Provincial Park, then it doesn’t take much tweaking to make it even better.

A pilot project launching this tourist season in the Newell Tourism Region will see the use of volunteer tourism ambassadors using social media to tell others about their own experiences enjoying the activities available to them in their own region.

Anyone with an interest in local history — especially the archeological kind — won’t want to miss the May presentation at the monthly stargazing event held at the Trek Centre in Vulcan.

More than 30 rural school boards in Alberta have joined forces as the Rural School Board Caucus as a way to lobby the provincial government as a group.
